Infrared heat therapy uses the wavelength of the visible and non-visible light spectrum of sunlight that heats the body normally. In an Infrared Sauna, infrared heaters warm the body in the same manner as natural sunlight. This infrared energy is also close to the same wavelength as that which the body naturally emits, so the energy is well received by the body. The infrared energy deeply penetrates the skin and warms the muscles and joints. As opposed to a traditional sauna that heats up the air around you, infrared rays warm the body and penetrates the body’s muscle tissue and internal organs leaving the cabin air ambient room temperature .
There are many proven benefits to Infrared Sauna based on usage - and it may do more than make you sweat . A study in Finland suggests that those who engage in frequent sauna use, reduced risks of fatal cardiovascular events and all-cause mortality by 40%.

After Your Sauna Session
Cooling off slowly after your session is important. You should leave enough time to cool off before warming up again. It's recommended not to shower directly after a Sauna - Cooling off in ambient fresh air is optimal! We can't stress enough to be sure to hydrate after your session - you will lose up to a liter of fluid - replenish electrolytes
Why do I look better after a sauna?
Increased circulation during the sauna means more nutrients are being delivered to your skin - more blood flow will help your skin glow and regular sauna use will increase collagen production

General Sauna Regulations
Please arrive on time for your appointment
Ensure your body is free of excess oils, lotions, make-up and perfume before coming to sauna. Clean skin will ensure optimal absorption of infrared wavelengths.
To ensure the health and safety of our guests, plastic water bottles should not be used inside the sauna. Stainless steel or glass water bottles with caps are permitted.
Please be sure to remove all footwear prior to entering the sauna.
Sauna doors are made of glass – please handle with care. Once you have completed your session, please be sure the door closes behind you to ensure the room stays warm for the next guest
Cellphones – Please silence your ringer and refrain from talking on your phone while in session as it may disrupt the experience of other guests.
Upon completion of your session, we kindly request that you place any used towels and robes in the designated laundry receptacle
Be mindful of where you place your jewelry and valuables. Well Body is not responsible for lost items
Hydrate! It is recommended that you drink at least 4oz of water before sauna and 8oz after. We can't stress this enough! When you sweat in the sauna, your body can lose up to a liter of fluid, so it's important to make sure you're making up for lost water and electrolytes
